Janel Davisson
Janel's lifelong connection with animals began in her childhood, surrounded by a menagerie of cats, dogs, and horses. Her early exposure to different species fostered a profound understanding of their behavior and needs. Building upon this foundation, Janel joined the Spokane Search and Rescue team in 2017 with her adopted dog Tansy.

During her time with the search and rescue team, Janel worked closely with highly trained scent dogs. Through rigorous training and hands-on experience, she honed her skills training dogs and optimizing search techniques.

Janel's passion for learning and growth led her to become a certified pet detective through the Missing Animal Rescue Network. Her dedication to every search, combined with her deep love for animals, makes her a compassionate and trustworthy advocate for lost pets. She understands the profound bond we share with our pets and the heartbreak that comes with their loss.
In February 2024, Janel welcomed Teasel, an 8-week-old Boykin Spaniel, into her home. Just a few months later, Teasel began training to track lost pets. We’re excited to watch her grow, learn, and soon take on active search cases.
